ShipAIS - AIS History of AURA

ShipAIS - AIS History of AURA

Strange things happening at Sea. I tracked the heavy lift ship 'Aura' as she passed through the Minch, which is a sea passage between the outer Hebrides and the Scottish mainland. The ship was heading North with a destination of Lubmin, Germany.
At Lubmin an East German built nuclear power station has been in the process of demolition for the past 16 years. It did not come up to German standards after reunification and was closed down. Work can only be carried out by suited up workers as the site is still considered to be dangerous. Five heavy concrete flasks/vessels are on the quayside awaiting collection. What is inside them and where are they going??
She travelled round the top of Scotland and head through the maze of oil rigs into the North Sea. I got a little sidetracked with international events. I posted a photo of the Aura and in it she is carrying five huge concrete cylinders in an upright position. The Aura is now, as shown on the map, in Amsterdam, having arrived about 1830hrs GMT. No new destination is given and she appears to have docked. I will keep you updated as she moves.
