In Scotland we have only one refinery at Grangemouth, on the east Coast near Edinburgh, which is owned by BP. With the exception of Esso, who have a storage facility at Dumbarton, just outside Glasgow, all petrol and diesel is BP with the other companies additives put into the mix.
It would be very easy to "fix" petrol prices in the Uk.
