It is a great way to live. Personally, I use a similar system. Writing this blog and searching the Internet through various Earth time zones requires that I keep odd hours.!! Sleeping or napping during daylight and in darkness.
I have one clock to relate to Earthtime as I have no wish to call friends in the middle of their night and waken them. All that I consider is whether it is light or dark outside!!
In my World, I close the curtains and put on lights when I'm awake and off when sleeping. I sleep when my eyes begin to close. I eat when I'm hungry. I wash my hair when I feel in the mood to be active. The only things that I am careful of doing, timewise, are watching TV, playing music via the stereo speakers, running a bath or having a shower!!. My washing machine is quiet and can be on anytime and I take advantage of using it during cheap rate off peak times. Heating is the same. I may have heating on most of the night during off peak rates and off during the day while sleeping. In Winter I use propane heaters which can be on/off as I need them. The tumble dryer is noisy and tends to boogie round the kitchen, so I check the Earthtime prior to use and have the washing machine timed to finish in daylight. I can have music on via an I pod or I phone headphones while surfing and I can have the TV on or watch movies on DVD or play C.D's at anytime 24/7 and use walk about headphones for that too.
I order and pay for my groceries via computer and can arrange a two hour window on a day which suits me. I tend to make one day a week Earth day when I relate to outsiders and get everything delivered and need to do on that day. I answer voice mail on that day, too. Normally, I communicate by e. mail as I have webpals in every Earth time Zone, now. I can chat, should I feel the need to 24/7 via MIRC. Human friends leave messages and we arrange suitable Earthtimes to meet up. Normally on my Earthday when deliveries are coming or washing needs drying.
There are no deadlines, no work related hassles as I am disabled now, no living to a routine set by others and there is no stress. I like it.!!
