Just what has happened to the priceless exhibits which were kept within the Iraqi museum in Baghdad? Where have they all gone?
When Baghdad was entered by the Americans there was a rush to break in to the museum, very quickly, to remove anything which was not bolted either to the floor or the walls.!! Early Sumerian tablets have 'disappeared.' Stories abound that mercenary groups raided places in Baghdad in the hopes of collecting loads of items on behalf of secretive collectors and/or museums round the World. Like stories of buried German gold and treasure after WW2 the stories just keep appearing.
