You cannot grow Hemp in the USA because somebody changed the name to marijuana during the reading of a Bill in the Senate in the late 1920's. Aramco had been founded following the finding of OIL in Saudi Arabia while actually trying to find water!!
If Hemp Oil was used in cars, it would make this new oil from Saudi way too dear to use. So something had to be done.During the early hours in the Senate when very few were actually there the Marijuana Act (1928) was passed banning Marijuana in all forms which neatly took out hemp.
Hemp can be used to make ropes, floor matting, in heat insulation, paper and the oil can drive and lubricate engines and machinery.
