We know that police officers can't walk. On the very rare occasions when they do chase people, if the car will not go up the close, then they give up. So why can't police chiefs get the bus or train to their meetings instead? They can eat doughnuts on the trip, plug in their I pods and enjoy the deprivation as they go along.
