I've been watching Aljazeera, France24 PressTV most of the morning. They have been pumping out the build up to the big march which I think is going to turn out to be a damp squid. They just do not have a leader or leaders
After 30 years Mubarak has announce a new Vice President, Suilieman, telling him to negotiate. This appears to me just a stalling move..ElBaradi is keeping his powder dry and staying away and gives no reason for so doing.
The Army say they are remaining neutral but they are very slowly and carefully blocking off a road here and there or they park a tank across half a road causing bottleneck. People entering the main square are being searched for guns and stuff. Personally I think that the Army is taking the high ground and fence sitting. Mubarak has gone to a holiday resort and may possibly go to Israel if they will take him!!! .
No trains are running. The Internet is off and mobile phones are going off, too.The numbers in the main Cairo Square are said to be about 100,000 and it is coming up to mid afternoon. A lot of chanting and dancing is going on warming up the troops sort of thing. But, again, they are a headless chicken!
The result as I see it will be that Mubarak will bolt but not to Israel. He is of no use to them anymore so why should they bother.!! Then as nothing much will happen. There will then be another march which will end in rioting started by whoever...... Then the Army will ride in on their white horse and save the people!! On a temporary, basis of course.
