Serves her right. The Law is the Law. She should have said to the woman "hang on a minute dear, I'm just going to move the car to a free meter. Wait there, I'll be back sometime soon, when I find another meter. Oh do you have any change?!!
Then she could have grabbed her and wreastled her to the ground and held her there.
Thus leaving herself open to an assault charge and Breach of the Peace. When she got her on the ground and restrained her she was, of course, open to further charges of impeding the lawful progress of a person, obstruction of the public footpath, unlawful imprisonment, serious assault and kidnapping with a possible attempted murder charge too! All on top of a £60 fine.
Don't think missed any did I? The relatives of the jumper should be paying the fine.
