It is said that when the patsys realised that they had been conned one or more of them decided to head for a newspaper office to "spill the beans.! " As their clothing would have been bugged or cctv was following them or their mobile phone was shouting "hello I'm here via gps" they had to be discouraged. The sound of shooting was heard in Canary Wharf which is the London home of a lot of newspapers.
