There is a growing school of thought that "johnny foreigner" should look after themselves and we should stop giving away our money and goods to them. The media continually show us, quite rightly, that some foreign Governments couldn't care less about their people and are syphoning off about a quarter of all aid cash into their own off shore accounts. This then becomes endemic and each group down the chain has a bite at the cherry stealing and selling badly needed equipment and food until possibly as little as 20% actually gets to he people who need it !!!!!!!
So we sit back and say "why bother ?"
Well survival is a basic instinct and if we don't give away some jam today they will come and take the whole pot tomorrow !!!
