Bering Straits Bridge

Plans and costings have been drawn and made for a bridge across the Bering Straights between Alaska and Russia. All that is needed is the will to do it and the mega finance needed to construct it which could take up to ten years to carry out. It would be the longest bridge in the World and carry road and rail traffic on multi decks. The financial benefits to commerce would be amazing.

When it is finally built, as it must be eventually, it will be possible to drive from the tip of South America right up through Central America into the USA and Canada and onward to Alaska and over the bridge. Then either across Russia to Europe, or down into Central Asia, or to the Middle East and Africa.

What a World Car Rally that would make! I would also bet that the Gumball crowd would love it too!!
