First flat lightbulb that lasts 23 years is as bright as a traditional 60W one (and will save you £80) 

I cannot read newsprint,even with my glasses on, using these squiggly poxy light bulbs. When my typing is back lit on the computer screen I don't have a problem. I think that a 100 watt bulb is essential for reading and modern children will go blind using these mercury filled bulbs.
