GMIPOST - Plutonium from Japan to be disposed of underground in New Mexico
Not only Japan is sending nuclear material to USA but the Uk is also sending some 900 tonnes of nuclear crap as well
A couple of years ago an old East German era reactor was being dismantled and the cap from that was transported on ships,in concrete flasks, to Windscale processing plant in Cumbria England. The ships crossed the North Sea round the top of Scotland and down the West Coast.
Soon the Scottish plant Dounray on the northern coast of Scotland is to be dismantled. The Uk Government is actually considering a brand new purpose built rail line from Dounray to Windscale, taking this nuclear crap right down through Scotland over the border to Cumbria. Why not take the crap by ship?
