One of my first thoughts about who I am and where I'm from involved me being put into a shell/bodies to experience the past of the civilisation which I was now living in. We or a machine picked a scene and we were dropped into it to act out within it. A living history.

Later, I moved on to a fusion of folks who escaped from a disaster on Mars and a lesser developed group who were on Earth. The reptilians may have been the major species on Earth with humanoids the minor. This balance could have been changed by the incomers and their technology, forcing the reptiles to live, underground. Some agreement or peace treaty could have been signed.
