GlaxoSmithKline fined $3bn after bribing doctors to increase drugs sales

GlaxoSmithKline fined $3bn after bribing doctors to increase drugs sales | Business | The Guardian

I've been saying that inducements have been given to doctors and chemists to push and stock this or that drug for decades. They get cash or holidays or flown out on junkets to nice places all expenses paid.

It happens in all business these days so why should medicine be any different?

How many times have you been happy on a drug to be told suddenly to change to this new one, just out on the market. You believe that the change is for your good but it may be just to get gifts for pushing the opposition product.
