I   live in Scotland and I have said,for years,that everyone should vote,without exception. We have postal voting if you can't make it to the poll on that day.

I am fed up with people 'winning' a seat in Parliament, when only 30% of possible voters turn out. Then they win the seat by getting about 12% of possible voters. To be,if folks don't vote I should be recorded as a no vote.

By having everybody forced to vote, the result would show how people truely feel. People do not turn out because they have no confidence in any candidate whatever.
