Chicago Bike Sharing Rolls In: City's Large-Scale 'Divvy' Bike Share Program Takes Off This Spring
When this scheme started, in London,it was expected that the bikes would 'disappear.' Strangely this has not happened.The bikes are of a distinctive shape which saves them.
This system is used in Amsterdam but as it is an ad hoc one, the bike use is free. As a result many are in a terrible condition with many having no brakes. You just pick up a bike and drop it when you arrive.
