Not one but both crane operators sleep in on the exact day that his helicopter hit the crane in which they should have been sitting.!!
The religious folks would say that God was watching over them and that it was not their time to die. I would answer this by saying, ain't he a bit busy, with the rest of the Universe, to watch over two guys? Eastern philosophy would say that it was karma. Many would say that they were just damn lucky.I have a different sort of outlook.
After years of considering the big question, why are we here, I am now of the opinion that we are all in a dream world living history of a very advance civilisation. We are in a history dream. We pick or have picked for us, a period in time, with a set of interacting circumstances. We are then put into this plot to experience it.
As we grow older in this plot we begin to sleep more. This to me is a reorientation period as we come to the end of our lesson and prepare to return to normality,wherever that actually happens to be. When we dream, we are getting updates.
When we die, in our lesson,our container is finished with and left here. We return to the civilisation from whence we came.
