Ryanair flies into new cost-cutting storm as pilots claim it 'saves money on jet fuel'

Before a plane goes from A to B they add the weight of the cargo/baggage and a rough weight of people on board. then a margin of error is added. This, plus the weight of the actual plane gives and all up weight.
It is then calculated how much fuel will be needed to get from A to B. In addition, to all of these calculations there is a reserve in case of a diversion to the next nearest airport to the destination. On top of all this there is an emergency amount for unforeseen circumstances like dodging round bad weather.
So why should they carry round more fuel than is needed, for no profit?
