People Respond to Conn. Tragedy With Calls for More Gun Control or More Guns |

I have been banging on about the fact that an American may have fully automatic machine guns in the home. It is just ridiculous to keep on harping back to the time when the 2nd Amendment was written,,in order to justify this stance. It really is just a case of whose dick is the biggest, in some weird pissing contest. With good ol' boys flashing their latest acquisition to the boys, over a few beers, at a barbecue.
Times are different now,from then and this amendment should have been altered or modified throughout the centuries between then and now. I have no problem with home/family protection and I would limit he number and type of gun for households. Target and sporting rifles should also be allowed but should be kept in locked,secure cabinets, either bolted and/or concreted into the floor.  Machine guns,fully or semi automatic guns and sniper rifles should be banned from homes with the possible exception being registered gun clubs, where members can get their rocks of in proper,supervised areas.
