Hospital patient died of thirst after dialling 999 begging for a drink... but staff turned police away insisting he was 'fine' | Mail Online
Unfortunately, more of these cases will happen. Most of the 'nurses' on Wards,in the UK these days, are actually Auxiliary Nurses, which means that they do the menial jobs that Nurses believe that they are overqualified for, liking cleaning up shit!! These people are wonderful, but know nothing, repeat, nothing about medicine!!
The public look to them for advice and they, thinking that are doing the right thing, work as a barrier between the public, patients and the Doctors. Tell them, in no uncertain terms that you wish to see a Doctor right now!!!
I have been in hospitals many times and when I say jump the do. There is no need to be rude only firm. Say to any 'nurse' qualified or not...........I wish to see a doctor, now, and I am asking you (name) at this time (when?) to go get me one. Watch them shit themselves and pass the buck quick!!!!
I was fobbed off that I did not need more pain killers, on one of my first in patient visits and eventually used this method. Suddenly, the doctor could be found, on the phone. Suddenly the doc did not even have to come see me, suddenly, my script was upped by a third, suddenly the pain went away.
Only dafties, unfortunately lie back and believe what they are being told by totally unqualified people. Get a doctor to tell you and then he/she can be struck off..
