How To Identify Trolls And Forum Spies | Alternative | Before It's News
Pretty simple really. Trolls come in to start an argument and Spies come in to take your side, even if you said that the Moon was pink!
The ones that I watch for are the lurkers. They chip in nothing to the conversation and all you see is a list of names with no comments attributed to them. When challenged, they are always 'away making a cup of coffee or in the can.' They could be recording the screen messages on video tape, in order, to gauge the mood of the forum on any particular topic. By counting the negative /positive comments it gives a straw poll from vox pop. Vehement, aggressive, comments are even better to judge the mood.
