That's the way to do it, as Mr Punch often yelled.  Get them used to it when they are young and they will grow up thinking that it is normal. A big push was made in the UK, some years ago, to have new born babies chipped in maternity. There had been a spate of baby abductions which strangely stooped after a while. The idea being that if a baby went missing, then it could be tracked. Some of the press actually thought it was a great idea.!
A night club/ Disco had chips placed under the skin of regulars. This allowed them fast entry to the club and they could run a tab, paying at the end of the night with a card or cash.
Eventually, cash will disappear and we will all be chipped at birth. Every transaction will be done by waving at a scanner.  Not in my lifetime, but it is surely going to come, within the next 50 years.
