BBC News - Scottish minimum alcohol pricing to be passed
This new law will be hilarious!! Currently, I can buy 10 cans of Stella Artois from Tesco for £8.50 or 0.85p per can. If this stupid law actually is passed, a can of Stella will become about £1.90 or double the price. Now Glasgow is roughly 100 miles from Carlisle, in England, where the law will not be in force. So at even 25 miles to the gallon, that would be 8 gallons at £6 per gallon needed for the new growth industry, for those on benefit, to run up and down the M74 motorway and make a right few quid!!!
