Some Trust's buy the same kit form the same companies and pay different prices!! If there was Central purchasing that would save a fortune and probably cost jobs as each place has it's own buying department which would no longer be need with central buying.
Getting all deliveries made by suppliers to the Trusts would mean a saving in vehicle costs and drivers. Storage facilities could be rented for an income thus not having to pay local rates on the property as the new tennant does it, if they can find one!
