First an apology. I thought that the carriers were £11 bn each in previous posts. Now that appears to be the price for two of them.
But they will not have aircraft to replace to Harrier and basically nothing else can land or take off except limited flight range helicopters.
Talk about one side not knowing what the other is up to? But this time both are supposedly on the same side!!!
So the Government is now thinking about allowing the Americans to use the ships or dial "rent a plane" and hire some American Harriers. Which begs the question why are we binning the Harrier???
This is a shambles or is it just Blue Sky Thinking?
