This Iran thing is just another smoke and mirrors production to get everyone to look 'over there' when the real problem is 'over here.

America is currently looking at an internal civil war and is preparing for it to happen, most likely, this Summer. The obvious point of attack is the dilapidated power grid supply system. By throwing an old bicycle over a fence, enclosing a transformer, the resultant arcing can cause a huge area to be without power. No power means no cooking and no air conditioning which results in people moving outside and forming protest groups.

Any introduction of curfews will take away the angst against the power companies and lay it against the Government with all of the ramifications of the preceding grievances being added. How much easier would it be to just say that 'the Iranians did it!!. There is already talk of sleeper cells blah blah.
