They already own a huge number of sea ports and have a huge tract of land which they wish to build property on in one part of USA.  If the price is right,anything is for sale and it allowed China to get rid of Dollars and convert them into assets.

China is America's biggest lender, anyway and should they ever foreclose, they would probably own the whole country by default!!!
