It would certainly be easier in Summer rather than in the Winter to live on £53 per week.  So here is how I would do it............................Assuming that you have a fairly normal household...................

1. Move bed into the living area and heat that room, only  Preferred heating propane gas at £26.50
    In Summer the cost is zero with no standing charges on Accounts.
2. Obtain a home shopping account. This allows purchase of stuff on a pay up basis.Clothes, etc.
3. Food  About £15/£20 a week
4. Internet can be free with many but say £10 per month  or £ 2,25 per wk TV license Ha Ha Ha!!

So off we go...
First Week
Food     15.00  Heat 26.50  tv  2.25  home shop 2.00   order fleece joggie suit   45.75    leaves 7.25
Second Week
Food   20.00   heat nil   home shop  2.00  tv 2.25        leaves 36.00
Third week
Start buying bulk cheap offers from Tesco via the computer and have it delivered. as you have 36.25 plus 53.00
to play with  you have 89.00   spend 40.00  on bulk offers of food, assuming you have a freezer of course.! buy gas 26.50  tv 2.25  home shop  2.00   70.75   you still got   18.25
Fourth week
you have £18.25 plus £53  is £71.25  no food to buy no heat to buy  outlay  £4.25  leaves £67.00
Simple stuff !!!
