An American guy,decades ago, invented an everlasting light bulb. So he goes along to Osram and says he will take an upfront fee and a price per unit sold. Osram buy his bulb and he gets his fee and sits back to wait on the cheques. Osram lock his plans away and don't produce any!! So he gets nothing !!! .
It is the same thing with medicine and big pharma. Hence they got homeopathy pretty much banned
