I am coming round to a belief that some of the people of Mars came here to avoid some collision or other huge catastrophe which befell them. They then built the pyramids,with our labour, to show that they were safe.
Whether the tampered with the indigenous people to provide the so called missing link between getting about on all fours to becoming homo erectus is also a possibility. Thus providing a labour force in a few generations.
With their knowledge they would certainly have been treated like Gods.
