Well it has taken a few days to get a good story together!! The Post, the unofficial propaganda sheet, of course, trots it out. They say that ground troops were chasing the Taliban and mistook the Pakistani base for the Taliban. Now that is quite possible. Did nobody have night vision gear to notice that the troops had uniforms on and not Afghan rugs!!????
They then called in helicopters and later jets and continued the attack for two hours, despite many radio messages to try to stop it all happening!!!.
Now I accept that in the heat of battle, adrenaline buzzing and so on, errors are made. But a two hour attack, despite many messages to stop, which obviously identified the fact that it was Pakistanis who were being attacked and not Taliban.
