As a kid, I caught Measles, German Measles and chickenpox. They were no big deal and got me off school. My dad took me for the first sugar cube of the polio vaccine and I refused to go for the second one, because I did not like the taste. I was always allowed to makeup my own mind and told to suffer the consequences later. I was told to ask for advice or go find it from the library which I have done ever since.
