They have not thought this through. The Senate could just have blamed El Pesedenti and left it like that as in all Banana Republics. But no they just had to meddle and it could cost America Trillions if it is made Law.
It is okay going after the Saudis and it looks like a great vote catcher for those wanting to keep their jobs at the financial trough. However they have not seen that if Americans can sue Saudis it opens the flood gates for any people to sue any country on the same grounds. So America could be sued for Viet Nam Laos Cambodia, Japan,Grenada and even Mexico as there is no time limit. The Uk could be sued by Germans and Italians,jointly and severally with USA Any people whose country had a war with another could also sue on the same grounds.
