Bizarre $7,000 Elio 'autocycle' goes on sale  | Daily Mail Online

Reliant Engineering put out a four seat, three wheeled car, in the 50's and 60's  They had built motorcycles, for use in the First World War.They went into competition with Morgans in the 30's and back to bikes for WW2

As things settled down after ww2 they, again, went to cars. You needed a normal car license for the car. However,if reverse gear was blocked from use, the car could be used by a biker. They were light enough to be abled to be pushed back.

As the Mini took over, during the swingin 60's,Reliant produced the Bug which was a brightly painted three wheeler with a large bike engine. Reliant should have stuck to bikes and all of the chopping and changing,re tooling and marketing really ruined the company.
