White House: India Will Enjoy 99% of US Defense Technologies
Since India gained independence,from Britain in 1948, the Russians and the Chinese have tried to woo India. Of the two,Russia has gained the most influence and entry into India markets supplying the Air Force with numerous aircraft.
So America,after it's complete failure in Afghanistan,will do anything to gain a foothold in the region. Their overtures to Pakistan have been plagued with distrust on both sides. Bangladesh is pretty much anon starter which leaves India to be courted by USA.
