Edmonton firm files $1B class action lawsuit against Volkswagen - Edmonton - CBC NewsThis will be the first of many law suits, brought against VW, as everybody and their Granny,looks to make money out of this criminal activity. VW have set aside about £5 billion but it sure don't look like that will be enough.
Their only action that they can take to save the company is to prove that it was an outside contractor and then,in turn,sue them. They,of course,will promptly declare bankruptcy. As is usual, M'learned friends will make bundles out of these cases.
The shit will really hit the fan, if, as I suspect, another one or more car firms is found to have been using the same software.
