The gang members were innocent until proven guilty. Saying to a third party, that one of the gang members is a child groomer,would,in fact,be actionable as Slander, Wore still would be the probability that 'every' Asian man would be deemed to be the same and would be likely to be assaulted,several time.!
Where would it end if suspected groomers were 'outed by police? Oh he/she dropped litter!
I have been watching a new BBC (UK) series called The Met --Policing London. It is very interesting!
