I keep my two lives completely separate.  I have E mail url's for my blog, for receiving newsletters and for general enquirers about stuff. These I give out now and again but can ditch them quite easily. I once put an e mail url on the blog and got thousands of Nigerian style bank deposit offers and all sorts of crap. I no longer even bother to check it anymore.

I also have real name E mail urls and never cross contact between them.  These I use for banks, credit cards and so on. I sometimes, on a whim, go in and change my contact e mail and/or passwords.
