This is a load of crap ! The Uk must have a 16 years of age policy because, although most of the Uk has the age of consent to be 18,Scotland has an age of consent of 16. So the Armed Forces MUST allow entry to all.
In Scotland,a person of 16 may get married, without a need for parental consent, they can rent a house,sign legal documents on their own behalf, join the armed forces, ride a motorbike,do the lottery but cannot get a drink in licensed premises!!!
