Printing more money just makes each unit worth less.  I have been musing about what calamity would get Americans off their couches,away from some stupid games and out on the street with the war paint on!! They don't seem to protest much in America like we do in Britain and whoa !! France Spain or Greece just now and especially not like Thailand.

So how about sudden overnight hyper inflation coming in due to say, the Dollar no longer being used as the only currency to buy Gold Silver Oil. Prices going up daily   wheelbarrows to carry cash   Would that get them off their couches?  I think so.
