Interesting point he raises.  It is said, that the Roman Catholic Church was founded, by St Peter, in order to give people a home, in which to follow the teachings of Christ. It was founded in Rome, because Emperor Constantine became a Roman Catholic and organised a vote for the contents of the first written down bible, at a huge meeting

which lasted three years, from 330 to 333 A.D.

When Martin Luther tacked up his demands for change, he was protesting against the Church and their teachings which the Church believes are handed down to them by Christ. He went on to found his own group,the Protestants and they,in turn were followed by the myriad of religions and pseudo religions, which came later, when they, in turn, disagreed with those who had come before.

So it would appear that he is correct.
