Firefox Browser to Enable Controversial HTML5 DRM to Stop Piracy

Firefox Browser to Enable Controversial HTML5 DRM to Stop Piracy

I thought it was kind of funny about all of these protesting gazzillionaire music and movie folks complaining about file sharing. Music has been shared for decades with folks lending L.P.s (remember them??) to friends. Then we had cassettes and C.D's which are even easier to copy. You can now buy a turntable with a USB lead to save your old vynyl onto computer or burn it to disk. Movies, on DVD can be copied easily as well.  Load it in....burn it out.  So why the shouting about File sharing when copying has always happened?

I was watching some TV shows on Sky when my geek friends popped in. I was on episode 2 and they told me that the whole series was available for the one that I was watching. These are mainly America shows and my geeks told me that folks have put whole series of the popular ones on file share sites without adverts.  Which ones I asked.... Here is what they told me...

Intelligence  Crisis  True Detectives (1 and 2)   Tunnel  Blacklist   Blue Bloods  Person of Interest (1,2 and 3)  Flashpoint (1,2,3,4 and 5)  House of Cards (1 and 2)  House (all series)  Grey's Anatomy American Dad  Simpsons and loads more all advert free

British shows such as Vera (new show) Spooks ( all ten seasons)  Shadow Line  Luther (1 and 2)  Living Planet   Frozen Planet          All being repeated just now.

Not only shows movies and music are suffering.    There are loads of books on a plethora of subject all in pdf format.   Magazines and even newspapers of all types are there and would you believe it, audiobooks.  oh and loads of porn for those interested.

My geek friends showed me all of the above were available but if I downloaded them, what would I watch on TV for the next few years???  Nothing at all.!!

No wonder they are fuming with the loss of advert money
