Perhaps other countries should take note. They seem to fight for their democracy ! In the early days of the Parliament in England, when members took weapons into the chamber, it was decided that Government and Opposition benches should be built with a distance in between them.  This set distance was the length of a man's arm holding a Sword outstretched.Eventually when guns arrived,all weapons had to be left outside the debating chamber and retrieved when the members left !! Disagreements were settled by duels.!!!
Maybe we should return to this style.
