Income Tax was introduced by King George III as a temporary measure to raise money for yet another war with France. Prior to this tax various wheezes had been invented to get money out of people. For instance,we had a window tax which required you to pay so much for every window that you had People just ricked them up!!
Now we have a Bedroom tax. Next will be a toilet tax based on the number of toilets that you have in your home.
