The big game in town, for high level employees,is to leave the company, with or without redundancy money,then contract back in, as a self employed consultant. By registering as a limited company, using the wife as co director/secretary, the firm invoices for service and pays the lower rate of Corporation Tax, if any is paid at all.
All sorts of expenses may be claimed for use of the home as an office, car and business expenses The original firm saves in PAYE and pension payments.
