Retailers 'concerned' over tobacco display ban

BBC News - Retailers 'concerned' over tobacco display ban

The showing of adverts and/or rows and rows of cigarettes is to be banned in Scotland. Next year it will affect large retailers and then the following year small traders. All retailers will have to register.
This out of sight out of mind approach just will not work. People see cigarettes everywhere on every day and so have some degree of choice whether to start or not.
Both of my parents smoked and my friends did too. I tried it once at the age of ten but did not like it at all. So choice is the key. Don't buy them.
A growth industry in UK is cheaper tobacco coming in from abroad. People book cheap mid week flights and fly back and forward once or twice a week and sell the tobacco at the weekends.
