If this was a private Muslim only school then I would have no real objection. However it is a public school!!!
Killing animals by the Halal method is a little gruesome in that the animal his its throat slit and is allowed to bleed to death. The "normal" method is not really much better. An animal is shot with a bolt gun in the head which is presumed to kill it. If it fails then a plastic rod is usually inserted into the brain to finish it off. It is then hung up to bleed too. The blood then goes into things like black pudding. So neither method is humane in my view. It is a matter of how much stress that the animal suffers.
But the predominant religion in Britain is Protestant which is a Christian faith. Therefore in a Christian school then the regime should be British. If other groups for whatever reason want a different system then let them either provide premises for that group or arrange to have their requirements met at their own expense.
