Charities seem to do this a lot. They take in money but don't pass it out to the peeps who need it most. Instead, they invest it in the hopes that the interest gained or increase in property values, later, will keep them going when/if donations dry up. It s the rainy day syndrome which we have all been brought up with. Save for the bad times. A more altruistic problem that some have is the "what if" problem. If they do give most of the money away and actually cure the problem, they have no reason to continue and their high paid jobs are ended.
I give, every month, to water aid because without clean water, well forget about it. I give to the WWF,whom I dislike intently,to save tigers. I like tigers. My other donation goes to the Glasgow kids hospital.A smaller version of Great Ormond Street in London. Without kids there is no future.
I hate the WWF and others like Oxfam etc.. because they are too big. There are too many high powered, highly paid, wankers supping at the trough
I consider Help for Heroes to be a group jumping on a money bandwagon. Troops, who get maimed, get better help than road traffic victims, who had no choice, whereas troops sign up and take the risks.

The slaves came from West Africa and went to plantations on the Eastern seaboard of the USA. So how does this involve Jamaica?? But if you don't ask you don't get, right !!
Before the Jamaicans begin they should ask how the cases involving the natives of Diego Garcia are getting on

I told you that there would be more car makers using the same system and guess what? Now Audi admit using the same or similar system.
The next thing, which I have always considered to be a joke, is the average miles per gallon of fuel. Even if you used the same driver, in the same car, no two results would be exactly the same. So okay I hear you shouting average. Right then.......
Drive a car in Holland which is flat, with no hills, then take the same driver,in the same car, to a mountainous country like Peru. The car uses more fuel getting up the hills.

These NHS help lines are just a bad joke ! I never have nor would I ever phone one for health advice. In general, they are staffed by 'feed the monkey' morons who read from computer screens along the lines of if this then do that. They enter the information given to them by anxious people and work through lists on the screens.

I use propane gas heaters to keep my flat warm and cosy in the Winter. The beauty of using gas cylinders, which are delivered, is that I pay as I use and never have a huge bill to pay. There are no standing charges either!! On average, I use them from end of September until March/April,depending on the weather.
The heaters are on wheels and have three heat settings. I have only very rarely used the two bar setting and never the three bar. In the Uk the heater unit comes with a full cylinder at a price of about £80. A 12.5kg cylinder costs me £27.50 delivered and it just depends how you use it ! I have two units, one of which heats the living room and bedroom. The other unit is placed in the hallway and heats the kitchen and bathroom.
In bigger houses, it is possible to have tanks, situated outside, from which gas heats the home and can be used for appliances.
