As far as I can see this involves holiday and overtime. Normally overtime is paid the following working week. But people going on holiday get one or two weeks bare pay and the overtime is paid on the week they come back.

These cases revolve around paying overtime, with holiday pay, as far as I can guess. As most wages are paid into bank accounts, the overtime could be paid in, at the end of the first holiday week.
